Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The General Foreman / Superintendent will play a central role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the construction site. The position carries direct operational and managerial responsibilities on the project ground.

Core responsibilities include:

• Directly supervising all daily construction activities on the project site.
• Planning, coordinating, and monitoring the work of subcontractors and various labor teams.
• Ensuring all work is executed in strict accordance with technical specifications, design drawings, and the highest required quality standards.
• Enforcing and strictly adhering to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and procedures on site to prevent accidents.
• Effectively managing and deploying human resources and equipment to meet planned objectives within the project schedule.
• Coordinating with the Project Manager, engineers, and design teams to resolve any technical or execution challenges that arise.
• Preparing daily and weekly progress reports on work status, productivity, and any incidents or non-conformities.
• Monitoring the quality of materials and workmanship, ensuring compliance with standard specifications.
• Maintaining workforce discipline and team spirit to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

The company is looking for candidates with a proven track record of success in fast-paced and challenging construction environments.

Essential Requirements:

• A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of overall experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years of proven experience in a Site Supervisor or General Foreman role on major projects.
• Strong background in infrastructure projects, commercial/residential buildings, or urban development projects.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable building codes, standards, and safety regulations in the United Arab Emirates.
• Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and manage large, diverse teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer software and project management tools (e.g., MS Project) is preferred.
• Fluency in English is required for communication. Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
