General Manager – Precast Business in Muscat, Oman

A leading and confidential company is seeking to fill the position of General Manager to lead and develop its Precast Business division in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. Job Overview

The General Manager will be responsible for the overall management and strategic leadership of the Precast Business unit. The primary focus will be on enhancing profitability, ensuring operational efficiency, driving sustainable growth, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The incumbent will work closely with other management teams to set and execute plans aligned with the company's overall vision.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic plan for the Precast Business, including sales targets, market expansion, and product innovation.
• P&L Management: Hold full responsibility for the financial performance of the division, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and ensuring profitability targets are met.
• Business Development & Sales: Lead business development efforts, identify new market opportunities, and build strong relationships with key clients, contractors, and consultants in the construction sector.
• Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of production operations, logistics, and supply chain, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with stringent quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Guide and motivate a cross-functional managerial and professional team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and workplace safety.
• Quality & Safety Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality control across all production stages and ensure full compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Stakeholder Management: Represent the division to clients, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and partners.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) will be a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in related industries, with at least 10 years in senior leadership roles (e.g., General Manager, Operations Director) within the precast concrete or related building materials industry.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and transforming a business, driving profitable growth, and improving operational processes in an industrial setting.
• In-depth knowledge of the construction and building materials market in the GCC region, specifically in Oman.
• Strong understanding of the technical aspects of precast concrete production, quality control, and project management.
• Exceptional leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate teams and make strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Arabic (preferred).
• Ability to develop and analyze financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
