Job Description
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the sales team, responsible for generating and managing sales revenue from the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) segment. The focus will be on selling meeting space and associated guest rooms for groups, working to meet and exceed set sales and revenue targets.
Key Expected Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Proactively research and identify new sales opportunities within the corporate, group, association, and organization sectors that host conferences, events, or training programs.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including travel agents, event management companies, and local/regional corporations.
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare professional and compelling proposals, including rates and booking terms, for group and event inquiries, ensuring compliance with hotel policies.
- Negotiation & Closing: Conduct effective negotiations on rates and terms to secure profitable business for the hotel while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with other hotel departments such as Reservations, Food and Beverage, and Banquet operations to ensure the successful execution of event requirements.
- Follow-up: Consistently follow up on sales leads to convert them into confirmed business and maintain post-event contact to ensure client loyalty.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts for the direct manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be a successful candidate for this role in a competitive market like Kuwait, you should meet the following criteria:
Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience of at least 2-3 years in hospitality sales, with a focus on group and event sales. Experience with international hotel chains is a significant advantage.
- A solid understanding of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) segment within the Kuwaiti and Gulf hospitality market.
- Good knowledge of hotel reservation systems (e.g., Opera) and Microsoft Office programs.

- Exceptional Communication & Sales Skills: Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities, with effective verbal and written communication in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure: Capable of managing multiple tasks and proposals simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
