Job Overview
The Human Resources Director will occupy a central role in leading and developing the entire HR function for Salt in Dubai. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing human resources strategies that align with the company's business objectives while fostering a positive and productive work environment. This leader will work closely with senior management and international offices to ensure best practices are upheld.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead and develop a comprehensive HR strategy with a focus on attracting, developing, and retaining Emirati talent.
- Oversee all recruitment and hiring processes, prioritizing Emiratization initiatives and the representation of Emirati competencies.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in full compliance with UAE local labor laws and international best practices.
- Lead employee development and training initiatives, career pathing programs, and succession planning.
- Manage the performance appraisal system to ensure fairness, transparency, and employee motivation towards goal achievement.
- Oversee employee relations, managing and resolving any issues or conflicts in a professional manner.
- Drive employee engagement and morale initiatives to foster a strong, positive company culture.
- Manage the HR department budget and resources efficiently.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant Dubai and UAE labor regulations.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Nationality: Applicant must be an Emirati National (this is a fundamental requirement for the role).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) are a strong advantage.
- Experience: Proven track record of 8-10 years in Human Resources, with progressive leadership responsibilities. Experience within a professional services, consulting, or recruitment environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of UAE local labor laws and regulations, with a strong understanding of Emiratization agendas.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team inspiration abilities, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Arabic & English).
- Strategic Skills: Ability to develop HR strategies and align them with overarching business goals.
- Personal Attributes: High integrity, ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
