- Inventory and Cost Management: Assisting in monitoring the stock of ingredients and spices, ensuring optimal use of materials to minimize waste and control costs within the set budget.
- Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with other kitchen team members, including the Head Chef and kitchen assistants, to ensure smooth and efficient workflow during peak hours.
- Adherence to Safety Standards: Full compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations in Kuwait to ensure a safe working environment for all.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To be an ideal candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:
- Proven Experience: Demonstrable practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years as a professional Indian Chef, preferably within well-known restaurants or hotels.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep mastery of diverse Indian cooking techniques (e.g., North Indian, South Indian, Tandoori, Mughlai) and extensive knowledge of using specific spices and ingredients.
- Management Skills: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality in production.
- Personal Attributes: Strong team spirit, reliability, dedication to work, and a keen eye for detail.
- Legal Requirements: Applicants must possess a valid, transferable residency permit in Kuwait, or be prepared to relocate to Kuwait if selected (subject to offer terms).
- Language: Basic knowledge of English or Arabic to facilitate communication with the work team and management is an added advantage.
