Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed IT Engineer will be a cornerstone in ensuring the smoothness and efficiency of the company's technical operations. Key responsibilities will focus on:

• Network Infrastructure Management: Planning, implementing, monitoring, and performing periodic maintenance of the company's Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) to ensure maximum availability, security, and performance.
• Systems and Server Administration: Installing, configuring, updating, and maintaining operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux) and physical/virtual servers. Managing Active Directory services and corporate email solutions.
• Cybersecurity: Implementing and updating cybersecurity policies, managing Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and ensuring the protection of data and systems from cyber threats.
• Tier 2 & 3 Technical Support: Providing advanced technical support to staff to resolve complex issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity, going beyond first-level support.
• Backup and Recovery Management: Designing and implementing effective strategies for backing up critical data and Business Recovery/Disaster Recovery plans.
• IT Project Management: Contributing to the planning and execution of projects to upgrade or replace existing IT infrastructure.
• Documentation: Preparing and updating technical documentation for network systems, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications and Core Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in IT engineering, with a proven track record of managing the infrastructure of a medium to large-sized company.
• Professional Certifications: Preference will be given to candidates holding recognized certifications such as:
  • CCNA/CCNP from Cisco
  • MCSA/MCSE from Microsoft
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Or equivalent certifications in cybersecurity or systems administration.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
  • Hands-on experience managing Windows Server and/or Linux servers.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies and best practices.
  • Experience with backup management systems (e.g., Veeam, Acronis).
  • Ability to manage virtualized infrastructure (VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V).
• Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Team spirit and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
