Job Description

The Junior Accountant will be integrated into the company's finance and administration department, responsible for a range of fundamental and supportive accounting tasks. The role operates within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, offering valuable hands-on experience in applying accounting principles to real-world industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities and Expected Duties:

• Assist in preparing and posting daily journal entries to the general ledger.
• Participate in the processing of invoices (payables and receivables) and petty cash expenses.
• Aid in performing periodic bank reconciliations.
• Support the payroll and employee benefits processing in coordination with the HR department.
• Assist in the preparation of preliminary financial statements and periodic reports (monthly/quarterly).
• Participate in fixed asset and inventory counting procedures.
• Maintain organized and orderly financial records and documentation.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting team and senior management as required.
• Ensure compliance with the company's internal accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (Accounting major), or a related field.
• Initial or enrolled professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CMA) are considered an advantage but are not mandatory for an entry-level position.

Experience and Skills:

• 0 to 2 years of practical experience in an accounting field. This can include internship experience.
• Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
• Familiarity with an accounting software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is a significant plus.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
