Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful Landscape Architect will be integrated into multidisciplinary teams working on some of the region's most ambitious and exciting projects. The core responsibilities of this role include:

• Design & Development: Leading and developing landscape architectural design concepts for a diverse range of projects, including major urban developments, residential and hospitality complexes, recreational areas, public realm projects, and green infrastructure.
• Technical Documentation: Producing high-quality detailed drawings, presentation boards, layout plans, and technical specifications using the latest Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, as well as design and rendering tools like Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp.
• Team Coordination: Working closely with civil engineers, architects, urban planners, and other consultants to ensure seamless integration of landscape architectural designs with the project's architectural, structural, and infrastructural elements.
• Project Management: Contributing to various project stages, from initial concept and planning, through detailed design and contractor reviews, to site supervision and quality assurance during implementation (depending on the role's seniority).
• Compliance & Standards: Ensuring all designs comply with local and international standards, Saudi Arabian building regulations, and best practices in environmental sustainability.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

• Academic Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design, or a closely related field from an accredited university. A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is a distinct advantage.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven professional experience in landscape architecture and design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating involvement in complex, large-scale projects. Experience on Middle Eastern projects, particularly within Saudi Arabia, is highly valued.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in core design software including AutoCAD and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). Working knowledge of Revit or other 3D modeling software is a significant plus.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of urban design principles, planting sciences suitable for arid/hot climates, irrigation systems, exterior construction materials, and sustainability principles.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation abilities, strong teamwork skills, and the capacity to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Creative problem-solving skills are essential.
• Language: Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is a strong additional advantage.
