Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Learning & Development Executive will play a central role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and enhancing the competencies of the hotel's workforce. This individual will be primarily responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that meet operational needs and align with the global brand standards of Mövenpick. Key responsibilities include:
- Training Needs Analysis: Work closely with department heads and management to identify skill and knowledge gaps, and develop proactive training plans to address them.
- Program Design & Development: Create and develop innovative and engaging training content (both online and in-person) covering areas such as customer service, hospitality standards, safety, operational procedures, and leadership development.
- Training Delivery: Lead, facilitate, and conduct workshops and training sessions for diverse employee groups, ensuring participant engagement and achievement of learning objectives.
- Learning Management System (LMS) Administration: Oversee the hotel's e-learning platform, upload content, track learner progress, and generate reports on program effectiveness.
- Evaluation & Follow-up: Assess the impact of training programs on individual and team performance using defined metrics, and propose continuous improvements.
- Coaching & Development: Contribute to mentorship and career progression programs to support the professional growth of high-potential employees.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all learning and development activities comply with company policies, quality and safety standards at Mövenpick, and Qatari labor laws.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Training, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in Learning & Development or training, with a strong preference for experience in the hospitality or hotel service sector.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and skills in designing presentations and training materials.
- Personal Skills:
- Excellent communication and public presentation skills.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess needs and measure outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and within a multicultural team.
- Creativity and flexibility in designing effective training solutions.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken (essential). Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
- Personality: A leadership-oriented, enthusiastic individual capable of inspiring and motivating others to learn and grow.
