Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The successful Life Guard will be stationed within the recreational facilities or hotel team, serving as the primary responsible for monitoring and protecting users of swimming pools and other aquatic areas. Core responsibilities include:
- Constant Surveillance: Maintaining a high level of alertness and continuously scanning the swimming area and its surroundings to identify any signs of distress or unsafe behavior among guests and visitors.

- Daily Maintenance: Assisting in checking pool cleanliness, water temperature, and chemical levels, and reporting any equipment issues or potential hazards.

- Training & Development: Participating in regular training sessions on rescue techniques, first aid, and safety protocols to maintain the highest levels of proficiency and readiness.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Essential Certifications: You must possess a recognized Life Guard certification, a valid First Aid certificate, and a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification. Preference is often given to certifications from recognized bodies like the Red Cross or lifesaving associations.
- Physical Fitness: A high level of physical fitness and stamina to perform rescue duties, which may involve swimming distances, diving, and weight-bearing.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills (proficiency in English is preferred, Arabic is a plus), the ability to work as part of a team, and a calm, assertive demeanor under pressure.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within hotels, resorts, health clubs, or public recreational facilities is preferred.
