Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful Mechanical Technician will be stationed at one of the work locations in Riyadh, Dammam, or Jeddah. He will be responsible for a range of critical tasks focused on ensuring the optimal and reliable operation of electrical power generators. Core responsibilities include:

• Performing routine and preventive maintenance on electrical generators of various sizes and capacities.
• Diagnosing faults and effectively repairing core mechanical components of generators such as engines (diesel or gas), cooling systems, fuel systems, and exhaust systems.
• Inspecting and testing generator performance before and after maintenance to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Reading and understanding technical diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Using precise measurement and diagnostic tools to identify root causes of malfunctions.
• Carrying out repair and replacement work for damaged or worn-out parts.
• Providing detailed technical reports on equipment status and maintenance/repair work performed.
• Strictly adhering to all Occupational Health and Safety procedures on-site to prevent accidents.
• Tasks may involve working at different locations or outside standard hours for emergency call-outs or planned maintenance.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

To be a suitable candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized technical institute or community college.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical generators. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in the industrial, contracting, or utilities sectors.
• Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of the mechanical principles of reciprocating engines and power generation systems.
  • Hands-on experience with generators from known international brands.
  • Ability to use field-specific hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits related to generator control systems (an added advantage).
• Personal Skills:
