Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The MEP Construction Manager will be entrusted with a range of critical responsibilities focused on ensuring quality, efficiency, schedule adherence, and budgetary control. Core duties include:

• Leadership & Supervision: Lead a comprehensive team of engineers, technicians, and MEP subcontractors. Provide technical and administrative guidance to ensure project objectives are met.
• Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed execution plans for MEP works, including timelines, resource allocation, and procurement strategies. Ensure seamless integration of MEP works with other structural and architectural activities on site.
• Quality & Safety Control: Directly supervise the installation of all MEP systems on-site to ensure compliance with the highest quality standards, technical specifications, and local regulations in Dubai and the UAE (e.g., Dubai Municipality regulations). Promote and enforce a stringent safety culture to prevent accidents.
• Cost & Budget Management: Monitor and control expenditures against the project's allocated budget. Review and analyze quotations from vendors and subcontractors, and prepare regular financial reports.
• Coordination & Communication: Act as the primary liaison between company management, project designers (consultants), contractors, and clients regarding all MEP aspects. Conduct regular meetings and provide progress reports.
• Problem-Solving: Identify potential challenges and risks early and develop proactive mitigation plans. Address any technical or logistical issues that arise during the construction phase effectively and promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. A Master's degree or advanced professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CEng) will be a strong advantage.
• Work Experience: Minimum of 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in MEP project management, with a strong focus on the UAE construction market, specifically Dubai. Experience managing high-value projects (residential, commercial, or hospitality) is essential.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing & drainage, fire protection, etc.). Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and managerial abilities. Superior communication and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform under pressure. Meticulous attention to detail.
• Language Requirements: Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Knowledge of Arabic will be a distinct advantage.
