Job Description

The MEP Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineer will be primarily responsible for overseeing all quality aspects related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across the company's projects. They will work within a specialized team to ensure compliance with the highest international standards and project specifications.

Key Expected Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) plans for MEP systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections of MEP equipment, materials, and various installation stages.
• Review and approve MEP shop drawings prior to the commencement of work.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local Dubai regulations, and relevant international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NEC, IPC).
• Prepare detailed Inspection Reports (IR), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and consultant engineers to resolve any technical quality-related issues.
• Attend quality-related coordination meetings and workshops.
• Review Material Submittal/ Delivery Records (MDR) and ensure proper quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to the improvement of internal quality management processes and programs.

Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Professional Certifications: Professional certifications in quality (e.g., CQA, CQE) or in quality management systems (ISO 9001) are highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar QA/QC Engineer role with a strong focus on MEP systems within major construction projects (e.g., residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use developments).
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations in the Emirate of Dubai (familiarity with Dubai Municipality regulations is a significant advantage).
• Personal Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
