Job Description and Responsibilities

The MEP Site Execution Engineer will be primarily responsible for the direct supervision of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on the project site. They will act as the critical link between design and actual ground execution, ensuring work complies with technical specifications and the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities include:

• Daily supervision of workforce and subcontractors specialized in MEP works at the construction site.
• Reviewing engineering drawings and schematics (for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems) prior to execution and ensuring team comprehension.
• Monitoring the quality of materials and equipment used in MEP works and verifying compliance with required specifications.
• Coordinating MEP works with other engineering teams (such as structural and finishing works) to avoid clashes and ensure smooth workflow.
• Tracking the schedule for MEP activities and ensuring adherence to project deadlines.
• Preparing daily and weekly progress reports, documenting any deviations or technical issues.
• Strictly adhering to and enforcing all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and protocols on-site.
• Resolving technical problems that arise during the execution phase in coordination with design engineers.
• Conducting field inspections and commissioning tests for installed systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical systems, sanitary systems).
• Overseeing snagging works and the final handover of the MEP package.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in MEP works execution on major construction project sites (e.g., residential complexes, hotels, hospitals, commercial centers).
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems (LV & MV), firefighting systems, plumbing and sanitary systems, and medium-pressure systems.
• Skills: Strong leadership skills and ability to manage teams and labor. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings. Proficiency in basic computer software and relevant engineering applications (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Certifications: Professional certifications in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) or project management are preferred.
• Personal Attributes: Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment. Accuracy and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
