Qualifications and Essential Requirements
To qualify for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field) is a minimum requirement. A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Project Management will be a strong added advantage.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in the oil and gas sector, with proven experience of at least 5 years in a similar leadership role (Operations Manager, Site Manager, Production Manager).
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of oil & gas exploration, production, and processing operations, safety (HSE) systems, quality management, and maintenance.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead and motivate large teams in a multicultural, high-pressure environment.
- Managerial Skills: Strong experience in budget management, strategic planning, performance management, and solving complex problems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English. Arabic language skills are an additional advantage.
- Geographic Knowledge: Previous work experience in the Middle East region, specifically in the UAE market, is a significant advantage.
