Airmech Company is actively recruiting for a pivotal leadership position: Operation Manager for Industrial Construction, based in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. This role is central to ensuring the successful execution of major industrial construction projects to the highest standards of quality, safety, timeliness, and financial efficiency.

Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Operation Manager will occupy a critical position within the company's management structure, bearing direct responsibility for the comprehensive planning, direction, coordination, and oversight of all aspects of construction operations for industrial projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership & Strategic Planning: Leading the industrial construction operations team and developing strategic operational plans to achieve company objectives. This involves setting project budgets, realistic timelines, and optimal resource allocation.
  • Project Management: Directly overseeing the execution of multiple concurrent industrial construction projects from initial planning through to final handover. Ensuring strict adherence to technical specifications, agreed-upon deadlines, and allocated budgets is paramount.
  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Assuming full responsibility for the application and enforcement of stringent quality and occupational health & safety standards (such as OSHA or local equivalents) across all work sites. Promoting a "safety-first" culture among all team members and subcontractors is essential.
  • Team & Contractor Management: Leading, motivating, and managing an in-house team of engineers, supervisors, and technical staff. Additionally, managing relationships and contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring their performance aligns with contractual agreements and specifications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyzing operational performance, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing and implementing practical solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and reduce waste in time and materials.
  • Communication & Reporting: Serving as the central point of contact regarding operational progress. Preparing detailed periodic reports for senior management on project status, potential risks, financial indicators, and proposed solutions.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field) from an accredited university. A Master's degree in Business Administration or Project Management will be a significant advantage.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the industrial construction sector (e.g., factories, power plants, petrochemical facilities, major logistics warehouses), with a proven track record of at least 5 years in a senior leadership role as an Operations Manager or Senior Project Manager.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of all phases of industrial construction, local and international regulations, safety specifications, and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead, motivate, and manage large, multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
  • Managerial Skills: Excellent skills in planning, organization, budget management, and time management. Must be decisive and adept at problem-solving under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent will be a significant priority for your application.
