Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of vital departments focused on guest well-being and satisfaction, which may include (but are not limited to) spa & fitness centers, recreational activities, and guest experience teams. The core duties will center on:

  • Leadership & Development: Providing strategic and operational leadership to the wellness and guest experience teams. Motivating a large and diverse workforce, fostering a culture of service excellence and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Quality & Operations Management: Ensuring all facilities and services under their purview operate according to the highest global quality standards and Atlantis-specific protocols. Reviewing and refining operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Financial & Administrative Planning: Contributing to the budgeting and financial forecasting for the concerned departments. Monitoring financial performance, managing costs, and driving the achievement of financial targets.
  • Service Development: Working closely with Marketing and Sales departments to develop and implement innovative wellness and guest experience offerings and programs that align with the Atlantis luxury brand positioning.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Monitoring and analyzing guest satisfaction metrics (such as survey results and feedback), and taking immediate corrective and improvement actions to ensure an exceptional experience for every guest.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensuring full compliance with all local and international health, safety, and regulatory guidelines across all managed facilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience of 7 to 10 years in leadership roles within the luxury hospitality sector, with a strong focus on spa/wellness operations management or guest experience in five-star hotels or major international resorts.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead and motivate large, multinational teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in English, with Arabic being a significant advantage.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles and budget management, with a track record of achieving financial targets and managing resources efficiently.
  • Service & Quality Orientation: A genuine passion for delivering exceptional service and ensuring the highest quality standards. Meticulous attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Organizational Skills: Superior ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Higher qualifications (e.g., Master's) or specialized certifications in Spa/Wellness Management are a significant advantage.
