Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Project Director will lead a specialized team and bear full responsibility for the success of assigned projects. Core responsibilities include:

• Strategic Leadership: Defining the overall vision and strategy for the project, ensuring its objectives are met within the set timeframe and budget.
• Comprehensive Management: Overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle, including initial planning, design, execution, monitoring, review, and handover.
• Resource Management: Effectively planning and allocating human, financial, and material resources to ensure optimal workflow efficiency.
• Risk Management: Proactively identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
• Quality Assurance: Establishing high-quality standards and supervising their implementation at every project stage to ensure outputs meet specifications and applicable regulations.
• Communication & Coordination: Acting as the primary liaison between all stakeholders, including senior company management, clients, contractors, suppliers, and the execution team. This includes preparing detailed periodic progress reports.
• Safety Compliance: Promoting and monitoring a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring full compliance with all relevant Qatari and international Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a qualified candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Business Administration, or Project Management. A Master’s degree or advanced professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a significant competitive advantage.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 12 to 15 years of hands-on experience in project management, with a strong focus on managing major projects in sectors like Construction, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, or Industrial projects. This experience must include at least 5 years in a leadership role as a Project Director.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate large, multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and complex environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in project management tools and techniques (e.g., MS Project, BIM software), and a deep understanding of the technical, financial, and legal aspects of projects.
• Personal Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and make decisive decisions under pressure.
• Language: Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
