Job Overview

The Project Manager (Contract Manager) will hold a pivotal role within Al Gharbia Group's structure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, precise execution, and final delivery of assigned projects, while ensuring full compliance with contractual terms and agreed specifications. Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • End-to-End Project Lifecycle Oversight: From initial planning stages through to final handover and closeout, including scope definition, task scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and managing all aspects of contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensuring compliance with all legal, financial, and commercial terms and conditions.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Leading and motivating multidisciplinary project teams to ensure effective collaboration and the achievement of common goals.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks to project delivery and developing proactive mitigation plans.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Preparing detailed budgets, meticulously monitoring expenditures, and ensuring project completion within the defined financial framework.

  • Communication and Reporting: Acting as the primary liaison between all stakeholders (management, clients, teams). Preparing detailed periodic reports on progress, budget, and risks.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalents are a significant advantage.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience in project management, with a strong focus on contract management, preferably within the construction, real estate development, industrial, or infrastructure sectors in the Gulf region.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent leadership and managerial abilities.
    • Superior communication and negotiation skills in both Arabic and English.
    • Ability to analyze complex problems and make decisions under pressure.
    • Attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Good knowledge of local Omani laws and regulations related to contracts and projects.
