Project Manager (PMC Background) - FIDIC Contract Experience Required

Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The successful Project Manager will be entrusted with a range of critical and core responsibilities, including:
- Full Project Leadership and Supervision: Leading the project team and overseeing all project phases from initial planning through to final delivery, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- FIDIC Contract Administration: Applying practical and comprehensive knowledge of FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) contract conditions and provisions. This includes interpreting contract clauses, managing claims and variations, and ensuring compliance with all contractual obligations by all parties (Client, Contractor, Consultant).
- Schedule and Cost Management: Developing detailed project schedules and monitoring them rigorously, while managing the project's allocated budget and controlling costs to prevent any overruns.
- Risk Management: Proactively identifying potential risks to project delivery early on and developing mitigation plans to ensure business continuity.
- Communication and Coordination: Acting as the central liaison between all project stakeholders, including the Client, Contractors, Consultants, Suppliers, and the internal team. Ensuring clear and effective flow of information.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitoring project progress against established benchmarks and preparing detailed periodic performance reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensuring all project works are executed in accordance with approved technical specifications, local building regulations, and quality and safety standards.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements
To be eligible for this distinguished career opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical) from a recognized university. A Master's degree in Project Management or an advanced professional certification (e.g., PMP, MRICS) is a strong advantage.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience in project management, with a strong and clear focus on working in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) roles. Experience must be within major construction projects (infrastructure, residential/commercial buildings, facilities).
- Non-Negotiable FIDIC Experience: Proven, direct, and hands-on experience with FIDIC contracts (such as Red, Yellow, or Silver Book). You must be capable of interpreting their clauses and effectively managing disputes and claims arising from them.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
- Personal Skills: Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and the capacity to solve complex problems effectively.
- Language: Full professional proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking). Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
