Perfect Care Solution is currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Control Engineer (E & I) to be based in Oman. Job Description

The Senior QC Engineer (E & I) will hold a pivotal role within the company's quality team, responsible for ensuring all electrical and instrumentation works comply with international standards, project specifications, and the highest benchmarks of quality and safety. Key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing Inspection Activities: Conducting field supervision and inspection of electrical installations (e.g., cables, switchgear, transformers, lighting systems, earthing systems) and instrumentation installations (e.g., measurement devices, control systems, valves, SCADA/DCS systems).
• Document Review: Reviewing and approving electrical and instrumentation engineering drawings, method statements, material certificates, and test reports prior to execution.
• Conducting Tests: Planning and supervising the execution of various field and laboratory tests such as insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, instrument calibration tests, and pre-commissioning tests.
• Report Preparation: Accurately documenting the findings of inspections and tests and preparing detailed technical reports (e.g., Non-Conformance Reports, Corrective Action Reports, Final Acceptance Reports).
• Ensuring Compliance: Verifying that all works adhere to approved specifications (e.g., API, IEC, IEEE, NEC standards) and local/international safety regulations.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Working closely with contractor engineers, consultant engineers, client engineers, and the internal project team to resolve any quality-related technical issues.
• Contractor Monitoring: Supervising the performance of electrical and instrumentation subcontractors and ensuring their compliance with approved quality plans.
• Quality Review Participation: Contributing to quality review meetings and providing recommendations for process improvement and error prevention.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Instrumentation & Control Engineering from a recognized university.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized quality certifications such as (ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) or specialized inspection certifications (e.g., NDT Level II in relevant methods) is highly preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in quality control of electrical and instrumentation works, with a proven track record in major industrial projects (e.g., Oil & Gas, Power, or Manufacturing plants).
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of relevant international and local codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, API, NEC). Strong familiarity with inspection, testing, and audit methodologies.
• Personal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), with the ability to write clear technical reports. Leadership skills, ability to work under pressure and make decisions. Meticulous attention to detail.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, both written and spoken (the primary working language). Knowledge of Arabic will be a distinct advantage.

Job Location

The position will be based in Oman, with a readiness to work at various company project sites within the Sultanate as required by business needs.
