Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Reservations Agent will serve as a critical first point of contact for the hotel, playing a vital role in the revenue generation cycle. The primary focus is to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings while providing exceptional pre-arrival service, directly impacting the hotel's occupancy and revenue goals.

Key responsibilities for this role typically include:

  • Handling all reservation inquiries received via telephone, email, and direct online booking channels efficiently and professionally.
  • Providing accurate and detailed information regarding room types, rates, promotional offers, hotel facilities, and services.
  • Accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining reservation details in the hotel's Property Management System (PMS), such as Opera or similar.
  • Processing booking modifications, confirmations, and cancellations in accordance with established hotel policies.
  • Working closely with the Front Office, Sales, and Revenue teams to coordinate special requests and ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Adhering to ACCOR's high standards of customer service and maintaining a professional, courteous, and helpful demeanor in all interactions.
  • Contributing to individual and team sales targets by effectively promoting up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements

ACCOR is looking for enthusiastic, service-oriented candidates who possess the following attributes:

Essential Requirements:

  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field (relevant practical experience may be considered in lieu of formal education).
  • Proven previous experience of 1-2 years in a similar role (Reservations Agent, Customer Service Representative) within the hospitality or service industry.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written (essential). Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., Arabic, French, Russian) is a significant advantage.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with active listening abilities and clarity in providing information.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail under pressure.
