Sales Manager - Beverage Trade (Manama, Bahrain)

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Sales Manager will hold a pivotal position within the company's structure, being directly responsible for leading and developing sales activities within the beverage segment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership & Strategic Planning: Lead the sales team to achieve defined sales targets and budgets. Develop and execute effective sales strategies to expand market share and increase revenue in the Bahrain beverage trade market.
  • Relationship Management & Business Development: Build and maintain strong, sustainable business relationships with key clients, including distributors, wholesalers, major distribution centers, and retail institutions. Identify new opportunities for business development and penetration into new distribution channels.
  • Performance Management & Market Analysis: Regularly monitor the sales team's performance, providing necessary guidance and support to ensure individual and collective goals are met. Analyze market trends and competitor performance, preparing detailed reports for senior management with proactive recommendations.
  • Internal Coordination: Work closely with marketing, logistics, and warehouse departments to ensure full operational alignment and meet customer expectations regarding product availability and delivery timelines.

Qualifications & Core Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Work Experience: Proven experience of at least 5 to 7 years in sales, with a strong focus and prior success in the Beverage Trade sector (soft drinks, juices, water, energy drinks, etc.). Experience in the GCC market, particularly Bahrain, is a significant advantage.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent ability to lead and motivate a sales team to achieve ambitious targets. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of distribution channel dynamics (wholesale and retail). Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills. Ability to analyze financial data and sales performance to make informed decisions.
  • Academic Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Extensive and distinguished experience may compensate for academic qualifications in some cases.
  • Personal Attributes: A leader with a decisive, results-oriented personality. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written), with Arabic language skills being a strong additional advantage.
