Sales Manager - Leisure at Kempinski Hotel in Qatar

You will be at the core of the sales operation, responsible for generating and managing leisure group business, and building long-term strategic relationships with key partners in the travel and leisure market.
Job Description & Key Responsibilities
In this leadership role, you will oversee a range of responsibilities designed to drive room revenue and sales from the leisure segment:
- Develop & Execute Sales Strategy: Create and implement a comprehensive sales plan for the Leisure segment targeting travel agencies, tour operators, inbound tour operators, and leisure group specialists locally and regionally.
- Business Generation & Target Achievement: Proactively hunt for new business opportunities, converting them into tangible contracts, while strictly adhering to and exceeding set sales and revenue targets.
- Account Portfolio Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients in the leisure sector. Manage contract negotiations, proposals, and ensure the highest level of client satisfaction.
- Marketing & Engagement: Represent Kempinski Hotel at tourism trade shows, industry events, and sales calls to promote the brand image and expand the network of contacts.
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with other hotel departments such as Reservations, Food & Beverage, and MICE to ensure seamless execution of leisure group requirements and delivery of an exceptional guest experience.
- Market Analysis & Reporting: Monitor leisure market trends and competitor activity, and prepare regular reports on performance, activity plans, and future forecasts for senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must uphold Kempinski's high standards and possess the following qualifications:
- Experience: Proven track record of at least 5 years in hospitality sales, with a strong focus on the Leisure and Tour Group segment. Previous experience in luxury (5-star) hotel properties is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of the tourism and leisure market in Qatar and the GCC region. Strong knowledge of luxury hotel products and services.
- Personal Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills (Arabic and English mandatory).
- Ability to build relationships and work as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills in budgeting and forecasting.
- A leader, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure to achieve targets.
- Proficiency in standard computer applications and hotel reservation systems (e.g., Opera).
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
