Secondary PE Teacher (Female) - Qatar International School, Doha

Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and delivering Physical Education lessons to female students in the Secondary school. The role focuses on instilling a love for physical activity, promoting health and wellness values, and developing students' athletic and social skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and preparing creative and engaging PE lessons in line with the school's international curriculum standards.
- Teaching and assessing secondary school students across a diverse range of sports and physical activities.
- Fostering a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that encourages participation and confidence in all students.
- Organizing and managing internal sports events and competitions for the secondary phase.
- Monitoring student progress and providing regular assessment feedback.
- Contributing to the wider school life through sports-related clubs and extracurricular activities.
- Ensuring safety and the proper use of sports equipment at all times.
- Collaborating with the PE department and teaching staff to enhance educational practices.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
Qatar International School is looking for a candidate with a genuine passion for teaching and sports, who meets the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a closely related field. A teaching qualification (such as PGCE or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Proven previous experience teaching Physical Education, preferably within an international school setting or at the secondary level.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of modern PE curricula and varied pedagogical approaches.
- Personal Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with adolescent students.
- Initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- A strong commitment to student safety and well-being.
- Other Requirements: The candidate must be proficient in spoken and written English, as it is the primary language of instruction.
