SEN & Learning Support Teacher (Female) - Saudi Arabia

Worldteachers, a leading global educational recruitment agency, is seeking a qualified and experienced female SEN (Special Educational Needs) & Learning Support Teacher for a position with a prestigious client in Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time opportunity dedicated to female educators, offering a professional platform to make a significant impact within a dynamic educational setting.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct educational and developmental support to students, with a particular focus on those with special educational needs or learning difficulties. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Needs Assessment: Working closely with the school team to assess the individual needs of students, identifying their strengths and the challenges they face.
  • IEP Development & Implementation: Designing and implementing effective, personalized Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that address the specific educational and developmental goals of each SEN student.
  • Direct Support Delivery: Providing one-on-one or small group support sessions, both inside and outside the mainstream classroom, utilizing specialized teaching strategies and resources.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with mainstream teachers, school psychologists, speech and language therapists (if available), and parents to ensure a cohesive support plan for the student.
  • Curriculum & Material Adaptation: Adapting lessons and learning materials to suit the varying abilities and learning styles of students, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
  • Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly tracking and documenting student progress, and preparing detailed reports for teachers, administration, and parents.
  • Creating a Supportive Environment: Fostering a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning atmosphere that promotes engagement and builds student self-confidence.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate must possess the following:

  • Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Educational Psychology, Teaching, or a closely related field. A postgraduate certificate or diploma specifically in Learning Support or SEN is a strong advantage.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven, hands-on experience working with students with special educational needs in a school setting. Experience within international schools or those following a British curriculum (IB, IGCSE) is highly regarded.
  • Personal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, patience, empathy, and creativity in problem-solving. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Cultural Adaptability: The ability to work effectively and respectfully within the diverse cultural context of Saudi Arabia.
  • Other Requirements: Applicants must be female, in accordance with local employment policies.
