Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Senior Cost Manager will hold a central position within the project management team, responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling all financial and cost aspects of high-value, complex aviation infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Leadership & Strategic Planning: Lead the cost management team and develop comprehensive cost control strategies throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial estimation to final delivery.
• Budgeting & Estimating: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates at various project stages (design, tender, construction), utilizing the latest tools and methodologies.
• Contract & Procurement Management: Provide technical support in drafting and reviewing tender and contract documents, and monitor the financial commitments of contracts with contractors and suppliers.
• Financial Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor actual costs against the approved budget, analyze variances, and prepare clear, periodic financial reports (monthly/quarterly) for senior management and stakeholders.
• Financial Risk Management: Identify and assess potential financial risks that could impact the project budget and develop mitigation plans.
• Value Engineering: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to propose innovative solutions that achieve required quality while enhancing value and reducing costs.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company internal policies, industry standards, and local regulatory requirements in the UAE.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To qualify for this leadership position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Architecture), Quantity Surveying, or a related field. A postgraduate degree (MSc) or global professional certifications (e.g., MRICS, CCE) is a strong advantage.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying, with a strong and consistent focus on major infrastructure projects. Direct experience in aviation/airport projects (passenger terminals, runways, control towers, baggage handling systems) is a key prerequisite and a significant advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in specialized cost management and estimating software (such as CostX, Candy, or similar) and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, work under pressure, and manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Personal Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal) in English (Arabic is a plus), strong analytical abilities, and a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work on the project site in Dubai as required.
