Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Senior EBS Finance Functional Specialist will play a central role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of financial modules within the Oracle E-Business Suite. The core responsibilities will focus on providing specialized functional support and internal consultancy to the finance and IT teams. Key duties include:
- Providing Level 2 and Level 3 functional support for core EBS financial modules, with a primary focus on General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management (CE), and Fixed Assets (FA).
- Analyzing business requirements from the finance department and translating them into clear functional specifications for the technical development team to implement.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex functional issues encountered by end-users in the finance departments, providing timely and practical solutions.
- Contributing to system upgrade, enhancement, or implementation projects by participating in design phases and functional testing (Unit Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing).
- Developing and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure any system modifications or new features meet specified requirements and do not adversely impact existing operations.
- Acting as an effective liaison between finance users and the IT team, ensuring accurate understanding of needs and challenges from both sides.
- Assisting in training end-users on new system features and processes, and preparing procedural documentation and support guides.
- Monitoring the performance of financial modules and proposing continuous improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this specialized role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), Finance, or Accounting.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a similar functional role, with a strong focus on Financial modules within Oracle E-Business Suite (Version 12.2 or later).
- Deep Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the processes and functional setup of GL, AP, AR, CE, and FA modules. Required knowledge includes system configurations, master data, periodic processes, and standard financial reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities to dissect complex issues, trace root causes within the system, and design effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users clearly.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team and in a dynamic project environment.
- Preferred: Experience in sectors such as real estate development, construction, or logistics will be a distinct advantage, given the nature of Diyar United Company's business.
