Senior Executive - Supply Chain (Apparel Sector) - Muscat, Oman

Job Overview
The incumbent will occupy a pivotal role within the supply chain management structure, responsible for overseeing the flow of goods, information, and associated finances from the initial sourcing of raw materials to the delivery of the final product to points of sale or the end consumer. The sector operates in a fast-paced environment, requiring high adaptability and multi-tasking management skills.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Planning & Execution: Contribute to developing and implementing supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure operational continuity.
- Vendor & Inventory Management: Coordinate with local and international suppliers and manufacturers to ensure material quality and on-time delivery. Monitor and regulate inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Logistics & Transportation: Oversee international and domestic shipping arrangements, select freight forwarders, and track shipments to ensure schedule adherence.
- Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze data related to supply chain performance (e.g., shipping costs, delivery times, turnover rates) and prepare periodic reports for senior management.
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Production, and Finance departments to ensure integration and alignment across all operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify weaknesses in current processes and propose innovative solutions for optimization and increased productivity.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain & Logistics, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are a strong advantage.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in supply chain management or logistics, with a preference for experience in the apparel, retail, or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
- Technical Skills: Excellent command of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel. Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle is a significant plus.
- Personal Skills:
- Strong analytical and deductive abilities.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work under pressure and tackle challenges.
- Leadership skills and team-player attitude.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
