Job Overview
The Senior Interface Engineer will be responsible for leading and coordinating the technical aspects related to system interfaces within the various projects undertaken by the group. This role combines deep technical engineering skills with project management capabilities, requiring a comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle from initial design to final delivery and integration.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Interface Design & Development: Lead the design and development of software and mechanical interfaces between different systems (APIs, web services, integration modules) to ensure seamless and effective communication.
- Interface Project Management: Plan, schedule, and oversee all phases of interface engineering projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and defined budgets.
- Technical Coordination: Act as a central technical liaison between internal development teams, external vendors, and technical partners to ensure interface compatibility and technical requirements.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Develop and implement comprehensive testing plans for interfaces to ensure their reliability, performance, and security prior to deployment.
- Standards Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation for interface specifications, protocols, and standards.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex integration and performance-related issues that may arise in production environments or during development phases.
- Innovation & Research: Stay updated with the latest technologies and standards in interface engineering and integration, proposing innovative solutions to improve current processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, specific API/Integration certs) is a strong advantage.
- Work Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 5 years in software engineering, with a strong focus on API development, system integration, and technical project management.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.
- Deep experience in designing and building Application Programming Interfaces (RESTful APIs, SOAP, GraphQL).
- Solid understanding of common integration patterns (ESB, Microservices, Message Queues).
- Knowledge of different database systems and the ability to design effective integration schemas.
- Familiarity with project management principles and tools (e.g., Agile/Scrum, JIRA, Asana).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
- Strong leadership ability to guide teams and coordinate between multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior organizational and time-management skills.
