Senior Manager/Director - Data Lead at Capco Saudi Arabia

As the Data Lead, you will be the driving force behind designing and implementing cutting-edge data strategies for our clients. You will lead transformative projects that redefine how institutions collect, analyze, and leverage data to make strategic decisions, create superior customer experiences, and uncover new revenue streams.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive data vision and strategy aligned with client business objectives within the financial sector.
- Project & Solution Delivery: Lead cross-disciplinary teams to deliver complex data projects from conception through to implementation, ensuring quality, timeline, and budgetary adherence.
- Business Development: Contribute to business development activities, including identifying new opportunities, crafting technical and commercial proposals, and building strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Technical Advisory: Provide expertise across data engineering, advanced analytics, AI/ML, data governance, and ensure solutions adhere to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Team Building & Mentorship: Recruit, develop, and mentor a team of data consultants and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with C-level client executives and internal stakeholders to ensure expectation alignment and successful outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in data management, IT consulting, or similar leadership roles, with a strong focus on the financial services sector (banking, insurance, capital markets).
- Leadership Provenance: A demonstrable track record of successfully leading teams and delivering large-scale, complex data projects with tangible business value.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of modern data concepts including:
- Data Engineering (warehouses, data lakes, processing pipelines).
- Analytics & AI/Machine Learning.
- Data Governance & Frameworks (e.g., DAMA).
- Cloud data platforms and technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Managerial Skills: Excellence in communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CDMP, AWS Certified) is a strong plus.
- Language: Proficiency in English is essential. Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
