Job Overview

The Senior Manager - Projects occupies a strategic position within the company's organizational structure, bearing full responsibility for the planning, direction, and oversight of a portfolio of major and complex projects. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring the delivery of these projects to the highest standards of quality and safety, within the approved budget and agreed timeline, while maintaining client satisfaction and enhancing the company's reputation as a reliable contractor.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Strategic Leadership: Lead and direct multiple project management teams, providing vision and strategic guidance to ensure the achievement of individual project goals and overall company objectives.
• Performance Management: Provide direct supervision to Project Managers and ensure all projects comply with technical specifications, contracts, and local regulations.
• Cost and Schedule Control: Monitor and review overall project budgets, financial analysis, and take corrective actions to address any variances. Ensure strict adherence to project schedules.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface between the company and key clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and consulting engineers. Build and maintain strong working relationships.
• Quality & Safety Assurance: Implement and enforce the company's stringent Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies and procedures across all project sites.
• Reporting: Provide detailed periodic reports to senior management on project progress, financial performance, potential risks, and mitigation plans.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) or a related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration or Project Management is a strong advantage.
• Professional Certification: A globally recognized project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) from the PMI is essential or a highly competitive advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of advanced experience in project management within the contracting or construction industry, with a proven track record of managing multiple large-scale, complex, and high-value projects (up to hundreds of millions of Dirhams) from inception to final handover.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate large, multicultural teams in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.
• Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of all project lifecycle phases, construction methodologies, contracts (e.g., FIDIC), and planning software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills at all levels. Ability to solve complex problems and make decisive judgments.
• Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.

Job Location

The position will be based in the United Arab Emirates, with travel expected between various project sites within the country as required by business needs.
