Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The Soft Services Manager will oversee the range of non-technical services, commonly referred to as "soft" services, which are essential for the comfort, safety, and security of building occupants. The core responsibilities for this role include:
- Leadership & Planning: Leading the soft services team and developing comprehensive plans and strategies to enhance service quality and ensure operational efficiency.
- Contract & Vendor Management: Overseeing service contracts with external suppliers (e.g., cleaning, security, landscaping, waste management companies) and monitoring their performance to ensure compliance with agreed specifications and budgets.
- Quality Assurance & Standards: Establishing and implementing clear performance standards for all soft services, conducting regular audits and inspections to measure quality levels and compliance with local and international standards.
- Budget Management: Preparing annual budgets for soft services and controlling operational expenditures, while providing regular reports on financial performance.
- Communication & Coordination: Acting as a key liaison between the soft services management and other company departments (such as HR, Operations, and Clients) to ensure all needs are met effectively.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring all soft services comply with applicable Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Development & Innovation: Researching new solutions and technologies to improve services and enhance customer and end-user satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
To qualify for this leadership opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field. A higher or specialized certification would be an added advantage.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in soft services management or facility management, with proven experience in leadership and team management. Experience in the Saudi or Gulf market is a significant advantage.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the scope of soft services (cleaning, security, concierge, landscaping, waste management, hospitality services) and global best practices.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, motivate teams, manage performance, and solve problems.
- Analytical & Financial Skills: Excellent skills in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English, written and verbal.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Good knowledge of applicable labor, safety, and occupational health regulations in Saudi Arabia.
