Software Developer Specializing in V2X Technology - Kuwait

Job Description and Responsibilities

In this position, you will be a core member of an engineering team working at the forefront of innovation in vehicle connectivity. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Development & Engineering: Designing, building, testing, and deploying robust, scalable software solutions for V2X systems.
• Full Development Lifecycle: Participating in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and analysis to deployment and maintenance.
• System Integration: Working on the integration of software with hardware and embedded systems specific to vehicle communication technologies.
• Quality Assurance: Writing clean, efficient code, and creating and executing unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability and optimal performance.
• Collaboration: Working closely with hardware engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand technical requirements and translate them into functional software features.
• Research & Development: Contributing to R&D activities to explore and enhance emerging V2X communication protocols and algorithms.
• Documentation: Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for design, code, and processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in software development, with preference given to those with background in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), embedded systems, wireless communications, or related automotive technology fields.
• Core Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as C++, Java, or Python.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and communication protocols.
• V2X Technology Knowledge (A Major Plus): Familiarity with V2X concepts and standards such as DSRC (Dedicated Short-Range Communications) or C-V2X (Cellular V2X) will be a strong competitive advantage.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and strong problem-solving skills for complex issues.
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team and independently within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for self-directed learning and keeping up with the latest technologies.
• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
