Job Description

The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integrated technical solutions that serve the projects and activities within the sports industry. You will work within a dynamic team to translate business requirements into effective, scalable, and robust technical blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze client requirements (clubs, federations, sports organizations, stadiums) within the sports sector and develop a technical architecture vision that addresses these needs.
• Design end-to-end solution architectures encompassing event management systems, athlete data analytics platforms, e-ticketing solutions, live broadcasting systems, and smart security & safety systems for sports facilities.
• Select appropriate technologies and platforms (cloud, on-premise, hybrid) to ensure efficiency, high performance, and security.
• Collaborate closely with development, QA, and project management teams to ensure the accurate implementation of the architectural design.
• Create detailed architectural and technical documentation, including diagrams and flowcharts.
• Provide technical consultancy to clients and internal stakeholders, explaining complex solutions in a clear and understandable manner.
• Stay abreast of the latest technological trends in Sports Technology (SportsTech) and evaluate their potential integration into existing solutions.
• Ensure solution architectures comply with quality standards and relevant local and international regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of practical experience in solution architecture or systems architecture.
• Proven experience working on technical projects within the sports sector or related fields (e.g., media & entertainment, major events) is a strong competitive advantage.
• Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of Arabic is beneficial.

Technical and Personal Skills:

• Deep knowledge of cloud computing principles and architectures (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience in designing scalable, high-availability systems capable of handling large workloads (such as those associated with major sporting events).
• Strong understanding of system integration patterns (APIs, web services) and information security.
• Exceptional analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant solution architecture certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF) are a significant advantage.
