Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Sports Club Manager will hold a leadership position responsible for all aspects of operating and managing the luxury sports club facility at RIXOS. They will be the central figure in ensuring an exceptional sports and recreational experience for guests and club members, aligning with RIXOS's global reputation for luxury and excellence. Core responsibilities include:

• Comprehensive Operational Oversight: Managing the day-to-day operations of the sports club, including gyms, swimming pools, special activity areas, and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.
• Program Development & Execution: Designing and implementing an innovative portfolio of fitness programs, sports activities, and recreational events that meet the expectations of high-end clientele and attract new members.
• Team Leadership: Leading, mentoring, and motivating the sports club team (e.g., fitness trainers, reception attendants, maintenance technicians) to ensure exceptional customer service delivery.
• Membership & Sales Management: Developing strategies for member acquisition and retention, overseeing sales and marketing operations for club services and programs, and contributing to the financial targets of the club.
• Budget & Cost Control: Assisting in departmental budgeting and monitoring expenditures to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
• Quality Assurance: Continuously monitoring guest and member satisfaction, gathering feedback, and implementing immediate improvements to enhance their overall experience.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensuring the club complies with all local Qatari regulations, as well as internal RIXOS brand standards for health, safety, and service.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role in a luxury environment, you must meet the following criteria:

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a managerial or leadership role within a luxury sports club, spa, or recreation department of a five-star hotel or international resort. Experience in the Middle East, particularly the Gulf region, is highly preferred.
• Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Sports Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or specialized certifications in sports facility management are a strong advantage.
• Leadership Skills: Excellent ability to lead, motivate, and manage a multicultural team, coupled with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of sports club operations, fitness equipment, training programs, and customer service principles in the luxury wellness sector.
• Business Acumen: Strong commercial mindset with experience in budgeting, cost control, and revenue development strategies.
• Languages: Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage for effective communication in the Qatari market.
