Sports Solutions Architect - INTALEQ, Doha

Job Description and Responsibilities

The Sports Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing complex, integrated technical solutions that serve sports projects, facilities, and systems. He/She will act as a key liaison between the technical and strategic business requirements of clients in the sports sector. Key responsibilities include:

• Requirements Analysis: Understanding the deep-seated needs of clients from sports federations, league clubs, stadium owners, and event organizers, and translating them into detailed technical specifications.
• Solution Architecture Design: Innovating and designing comprehensive technical infrastructure and architecture (Solutions Architecture) for projects such as smart stadiums, event management systems, fan experience platforms, advanced performance analytics systems, and broadcasting/media solutions.
• Technology Selection: Evaluating and selecting the most suitable platforms, technologies, hardware, and software for implementing proposed solutions, ensuring compatibility, efficiency, and future scalability.
• Implementation Planning: Developing detailed implementation plans and timelines, working closely with development teams, engineers, and vendors to ensure solutions are delivered according to specifications, budget, and required quality.
• Quality & Security Assurance: Establishing information security and data protection standards, and ensuring all solutions comply with best practices and the highest standards of quality and cybersecurity.
• Support & Consultation: Providing technical consultation to clients and internal management, supporting the sales process from a technical perspective by preparing presentations and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be a successful candidate for this specialized role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure Solutions Architect) is a strong advantage.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Solutions Architecture or technical design for large-scale projects. Direct experience in the sports industry or projects related to entertainment and major events is a critical advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) systems and their applications in sports venues.
  • Experience in designing integrated systems and APIs.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and networking concepts.
  • Ability to create technical models and architectures using tools like UML or ArchiMate.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills (in both Arabic and English). Ability to work within a team and manage relationships with various stakeholders. Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
