Job Description and Responsibilities

The Technical Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of all hotel facilities and systems. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Leading and directing a technical team of technicians and maintenance engineers.

• Promptly responding to and resolving emergency breakdowns and technical faults to ensure minimal disruption to services.
• Conducting regular facility inspections and identifying maintenance or refurbishment needs.
• Ensuring full compliance with all local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Managing inventory of spare parts, tools, and engineering equipment.
• Assisting in the preparation of maintenance-related budgets and monitoring expenditures.
• Training and developing technical team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Collaborating with other hotel departments (e.g., Housekeeping, F&B, Sales) to support their operational needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Requirements:

• A diploma or bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent) or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in a supervisory or team lead role within an engineering or maintenance department, with preference given to experience in the hotel or hospitality sector.
• Comprehensive practical knowledge of commercial or hotel building systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection systems).
• Strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
• The ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively and swiftly.
• Solid knowledge of occupational health and safety procedures.
