Al Maha United Travel is actively recruiting for the position of Travel Agency Manager for its branches in Jeddah and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Travel Agency Manager will hold a pivotal leadership role, bearing full responsibility for the performance and operations of the travel agency at the designated location (Jeddah or Riyadh). The core focus will be on leading the team to achieve sales and profitability goals while ensuring exceptional customer service delivery. Key direct responsibilities include:

  • Strategic & Operational Leadership: Develop and execute strategic and operational plans for the travel agency to meet sales and growth objectives. Oversee all daily operations including bookings, ticketing, tour packages, and customer service.
  • Team Management & Development: Lead, guide, and motivate a team of travel consultants and support staff. Be responsible for recruitment, training, and continuous performance evaluation of employees to ensure the highest standards of efficiency and professionalism.
  • Business Development & Sales: Identify new business opportunities and cultivate strong relationships with key partners such as airlines, hotels, and tour operators. Lead local sales and marketing initiatives to increase market share and attract new customer bases.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Ensure customer satisfaction by monitoring service quality and proactively resolving any complaints or complex issues. Build customer loyalty and enhance the agency's reputation as a reliable and prestigious service provider.
  • Financial & Administrative Management: Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and monitor the agency's financial performance. Ensure compliance with local and international travel industry regulations and company policies. Manage inventory and supplier agreements.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in travel agency management or a similar leadership role within the tourism and travel sector, with a proven track record of achieving targets and leading teams.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth expertise in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre. Comprehensive knowledge of travel and tourism products, supplier agreements, and industry best practices.
  • Leadership & Personal Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and motivational abilities. Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills. Ability to work under pressure and make swift, sound decisions. A strong customer service and business results orientation.
  • Educational Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Tourism & Hospitality, or a related field. Professional travel certifications (e.g., from IATA) are a significant advantage.
  • Language Requirements: Full professional proficiency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written.
