Overview

National Dong Hwa University is a research-based, teaching-oriented institution, founded in 1994 and currently consists of eight colleges:Humanities and Social SciencesScience and EngineeringManagementEducationArtsIndigenous StudiesEnvironmental StudiesMarine SciencesOverall there are 35 academic departments, 48 graduate institutes, and 17 Ph.D. programs. Totaling around 10,000 students, about 6,200 are in undergraduate and 3,800 in graduate programs. The student body comprises students of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds from all over Taiwan and more than 50 other countries, covering Southeast Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, America, Africa, Europe, and Oceania.Freedom, Democracy, Creativity and Excellence are the founding spirits of National Dong Hwa University.
