South Ural State University is a SMART-University which unites Europe and Asia. For more than 75 years of its history, South Ural State University has become the alma mater for over 200 000 students. Being a National Research University and a participant of Russian Academic Excellence Project 5-100, SUSU is known for its commitment to excellence. Recognized as one of the leading universities in Russia, SUSU offers opportunities for the development of fundamental and applied research in its 40 scientific centers and laboratories including 12 international laboratories headed by leading foreign researchers. University has more than 200 current cooperation agreements with foreign universities, transnational corporations and largest manufacturing enterprises from 35 countries.Thus, every SUSU’s student has an opportunity to contribute to the global community in high priority research areas such as supercomputing, engineering, natural sciences and life sciences. Over 26 000 students of SUSU come from 56 different countries. The stimulating research environment is supported by over 2 000 lecturers and professors, most of them are recognized nationally and abroad. SUSU willingly offers its students more than 190 academic programs in its 3 Higher Schools and 9 Institutes.
