Basic Math: Numbers and Terminology

This course provides foundational mathematical preparation for students beginning their studies in engineering and related disciplines. Throughout the course, you will explore: 1. The definition and operations of sets 2. The use of basic mathematical notation 3. The classification and properties of number systems, including natural, integer, rational, irrational, and real numbers 4. An introduction to the fundamental ideas of complex numbers By the end, you will have a solid grounding in essential mathematical concepts that support further academic work in technical and scientific fields
