The Raspberry Pi Foundation team --- In this course from the Raspberry Pi Foundation, you will learn about databases and how to use SQL to search and work with the data they store. Along the way, you'll learn about primary keys and table relationships, as well as how to create joins to search for more than one table. In the final week, you'll finish by learning how to group data and look at exporting data from the database.

  • Explain the key terms used to describe databases
  • Produce SQL statements to search and update a database
  • Explain the comparison of databases to spreadsheets
  • Apply filters in SQL statements
  • Demonstrate how to use SQL statements to create relationships for tables in a database
  • Produce SQL statements to search across more than one table

Prerequisites

  • To take this course, you need to be familiar with basic database concepts, but you don't need any experience of relational databases or SQL.
