Special Effects

This Specialization, taught by instructors Hongshu Guo & Emonee LaRussa, is intended for beginners and aspiring motion designers seeking to develop foundational and intermediate skills in Adobe After Effects. Through three courses, you will cover core animation tools, transition techniques, and visual effects workflows that will prepare you to animate dynamic graphics, polish motion projects, and create eye-catching social media videos

• Animate basic motion graphics using After Effects’ core tools like position, opacity, and scale
• Design and polish layered transitions, text effects, and logo reveals with pro-level animation techniques
• Create VFX videos using green screen footage, compositing methods, and visual effects workflows

• Basic computer and internet skills
• Ability to read course instructions in English and complete short practice activities
