Maths Foundations

What will you learn? This foundation maths course provides learners with the foundational skills necessary to excel in mathematics. This standalone course may assist learners who wish to undertake AdelaideX’s MathTrackX XSeries Program , however, it is not a mandatory course within the MathTrackX Program. Who should study this foundation mathematics course? For school leavers, it acts as a maths bridging course between their prior educational experiences and the requirements of tertiary education. Professionals who want to refresh their knowledge or return to higher education will benefit from the course's tools and techniques, equipping them to effectively communicate their mathematical ideas in a business or an academic setting. 3b:T

• perform operations on real numbers including fractions, decimals, percentages and negative numbers,
• perform operations on algebraic expressions, equations and inequalities,
• solve problems involving measurements and rates including length, area, volume, angle, density and speed,
• accurately describe features of sets in the number line and coordinate plane, including straight lines.
