Consultant of Developmental Pediatrics - Taiba Hospital - Kuwait

Taiba Hospital in Kuwait is seeking a highly qualified Consultant of Developmental Pediatrics to join its distinguished medical team. This is an excellent opportunity for pediatric specialists with extensive experience in diagnosing and managing childhood developmental disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat children with developmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, motor and speech delays.
  • Conduct comprehensive developmental assessments using standardized evaluation tools.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's specific needs.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and psychologists.
  • Provide parental counseling and guidance on supporting child development.
  • Participate in training programs and awareness campaigns within and outside the hospital.
  • Supervise residents and trainees in the department.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
  • Board certification or fellowship in Pediatrics from a recognized body (e.g., American Board, Royal College, Arab Board).
  • Subspecialty training in Developmental Pediatrics with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience post-certification.
  • Valid medical license from the Kuwait Ministry of Health or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with children and parents.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
