Consultant Haematologist Job in Abu Dhabi

Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The successful consultant will hold a pivotal role within the Internal Medicine department or a specialized unit, with primary responsibilities including:
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of blood disorders, including anaemias, blood cancers (such as leukaemia, lymphoma, and myeloma), and bleeding/clotting disorders (e.g., haemophilia).
- Clinic Management: Running the haematology outpatient clinic, providing specialist consultations, and managing follow-up for chronic conditions.
- Laboratory Liaison: Working closely with Pathology and laboratory departments to review and interpret specialized blood test results, including blood films, coagulation studies, and bone marrow findings.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Actively participating in multidisciplinary team meetings with oncologists, physicians, surgeons, and other specialists to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
- Leadership and Supervision: Providing guidance and supervision to resident doctors and medical students, and contributing to continuous medical education activities within the center.
- Standards Compliance: Ensuring adherence to the highest international medical standards, safety protocols, and the healthcare regulations enforced in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
To be eligible for this prestigious role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree, followed by a specialization (Board) in Haematology from a recognized university or accrediting body.
- Licensing: Applicants must possess a valid medical license to practice from the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention or be eligible to obtain one. Holders of Fellowship or Board certification from Arab, American, Canadian, or European boards in Haematology are highly preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of post-specialization experience in the field of Haematology, with a proven track record in diagnosing and managing complex cases.
- Personal Skills: Exceptional patient communication and management skills, the ability to work effectively within a team, and a strong commitment to medical ethics. Precision and attention to detail are paramount.
- Language: Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory. Knowledge of the Arabic language is a significant advantage.
