Job Overview

The Finance Manager will occupy a pivotal position within the company's organizational structure, serving as the direct authority over all financial and accounting operations. Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leadership & Management: Provide full leadership to the accounting and finance team, guiding its members and developing their skills to ensure peak performance and efficiency.
  • Financial Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of financial plans, annual budgets, and long-term forecasts, monitoring their implementation and analyzing variances.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for senior management and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company's cash flows, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and meeting financial obligations.
  • Financial Analysis & Cost Control: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate project and investment performance, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure all financial operations comply with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements in the Sultanate of Oman. Coordinate with external auditors during audit processes.
  • Relationship Management: Build strong working relationships with banks, financial institutions, suppliers, and relevant government entities.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

  • Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) are a significant competitive advantage and are often a core requirement.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in the financial and accounting field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (Finance Manager or Accounting Manager) in a company of comparable size and activity. Experience in the Omani or GCC market is a strong plus.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Soft Skills: Leadership, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), strong analytical and complex problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and impeccable professional integrity and ethics.
  • Language: Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
