The Planning Engineer will be stationed within the project management department, primarily responsible for developing and implementing detailed plans that ensure projects are completed on time and within the approved budget. The main responsibilities include:

• Comprehensive Schedule Development: Preparing and analyzing project schedules using specialized software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, considering all project phases from initiation to delivery.
• Resource Allocation: Effectively planning the allocation of human resources, equipment, and materials to ensure operational efficiency and prevent delays.
• Performance Monitoring & Evaluation: Continuously tracking project progress, comparing actual performance against baseline plans, and identifying any deviations or potential risks.
• Reporting: Providing clear and comprehensive periodic reports to company management and work teams on project status, including progress reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Cross-Department Coordination: Working closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement and execution departments to ensure plan integration and consistency.
• Impact Analysis: Assessing the impact of any required changes to project scope or timelines and providing appropriate solutions and alternatives.
• Bid Support: Contributing to the pre-project phase by assisting in preparing schedules and preliminary estimates for bids and technical proposals.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field) from an accredited university.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in a similar role (Planning Engineer or Planning Supervisor), preferably within the contracting, engineering projects, or industrial sector.
• Technical Skills: Excellent proficiency in project planning software, with a strong preference for candidates with solid experience in Primavera P6. A good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) is also essential.
• Personal Skills: High analytical ability, strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be able to work under pressure and in a team environment.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, as it is the primary language of work in many professional environments in Kuwait. Knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage.
