Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Senior Structural Engineer will be placed within the offshore projects division, responsible for a range of critical tasks supporting the lifecycle of offshore structures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Structural Design and Analysis: Leading and performing advanced structural analysis for fixed and floating offshore platforms (e.g., drilling platforms, production platforms, coastal facilities) using specialized software such as SACS, STAAD.Pro, or similar.
  • Technical Documentation: Preparing, developing, and reviewing detailed drawings, design calculations, material specifications, and structural analysis reports in compliance with major international codes (e.g., API, ISO, AISC) and client requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Working closely with the project manager and multidisciplinary team (e.g., civil, mechanical, electrical engineers) to ensure technical integration and project delivery within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Design Review: Reviewing and evaluating designs submitted by contractors or vendors to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Construction Support: Providing technical support during procurement, fabrication, construction, and installation phases, resolving any structural issues that may arise on-site.
  • Quality and Safety Assurance: Ensuring all designs and activities comply with stringent safety standards for the offshore environment and the company's quality management systems.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this advanced technical role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university. A Master's degree in a relevant field is a strong advantage.
